Chuck Stravin is not just a cancer survivor; he is a force for change. A dedicated patient advocate, Chuck works with leading organizations including KidneyCAN, American Cancer Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard Medical School to elevate the patient voice and accelerate progress in cancer research and care. At Dana-Farber, he serves as a 1:2:1 Patient Ambassador, Legislative Action Network Volunteer, Kidney Cancer SPORES Patient Representative and Jimmy Fund Telethon volunteer, while also partnering with his care team to improve outcomes for other kidney cancer patients and families.

Chuck also serves on the Peer Review Panel for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) Kidney Cancer Research Program, helping ensure that patient perspectives directly shape research funding decisions and prioritize studies with the greatest potential to impact lives.

A compelling storyteller and trusted voice, Chuck champions increased research funding, expanded access to care, and a healthcare system centered on patients. Beyond his advocacy, Chuck is a devoted husband, proud father of four daughters, and a grandfather. Roles that ground his purpose and remind us what this fight is truly about.
